Since the early 20th century, Sormac has been driven by innovation. What began in Venlo with the development of the first tomato and gherkin sorting machines has grown into a leading global provider of processing machines and complete line solutions for the vegetable processing industry.

Today, we operate worldwide, with our own locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany, supported by a strong global dealer network. Our DNA

Sormac is rooted in the Venlo region, the heart of Dutch horticulture. Our origins as a family business form the foundation of who we are today. The mentality of this region - hard work, craftsmanship, and commitment - is deeply rooted in our DNA.

I grew up in this company and witnessed how both the market and Sormac have evolved. As part of the next generation, I build on that foundation with new ideas, always rooted in our core values: reliability, quality, and expertise.

Knowledge partner with an in-house laboratory

Since 2016, we have stood out as the only machine builder in the industry with our own microbiological laboratory. Here, we study the impact of critical process steps at the microbial level and translate these insights directly into the design and optimization of our machines. By combining this data with customer requirements and practical experience, we continuously refine our solutions and test them for hygienic design, food safety, and process reliability.

Test Center

At our in-house Test Center, located directly next to our production facility in Venlo, or at the demo facilities at our offices in the UK, USA and Germany, customers can test their own products on our machines. Our experts provide guidance throughout the testing process, and assist in optimizing settings for the best possible results. We also offer classroom training for production managers, line operators, and technical teams.

This way, customers not only gain insight into the operation of our solutions but also experience the true Sormac spirit: craftsmanship, open collaboration, and a shared passion for perfection in vegetable and fruit processing.
